Our Support
¥42,300
Raised to date for water safety
To date, Life Afloat has raised approximately 42,300 yen, every yen of which has gone directly toward purchasing life jackets and water safety education materials for communities in Yunnan, China. Donations have been delivered to partner communities in Jinping County, Honghe Prefecture, and to Tingman Primary School in Malipo County, Wenshan Prefecture — two of the most water-exposed and under-resourced areas Life Afloat works with.
Fundraising is a newer dimension of Life Afloat's work, reflecting a growing belief that education alone is not enough. Reaching children with knowledge matters, but so does leaving something behind. By putting physical resources directly into the hands of communities, Life Afloat aims to extend its impact beyond the lesson itself.
These funds were raised through weekly fundraisers and community outreach at the International School of Beijing and Yokohama International School, as well as through donation stands set up at local train stations. Every contribution, however small, has translated directly into life jackets and materials placed in schools that had none.
Life Afloat is committed to expanding its fundraising efforts as the organization grows, ensuring that financial support keeps pace with the communities we are reaching.
